In the 7th Zhejiang Provincial Lawyer’s Representative Meeting held from 6th-8th July, 2007, the “10 Most Influential Cases in the Promotion of Democracy and Legal Systems by Zhejiang Lawyers” were announced. The reputation infringement case against Zhejiang Hotel Industry Association which was dealt with by Lawyer Hu Xiangfu and Qian Xuehui, the advertisement interruption case of the Movie Hero dealt with by Lawyer Zhang Zinian were on the list. The election started from October 2006. After the 20 candidate cases were publicized in Zhejiang Legal News and the website Shenzhou Lawyer, more than 70,000 readers participated in the election by vote. The final 10 cases were determined by a panel of experts with reference to the voting result.
